The problem with game night

"So… what should we play?"

You know the silence. The scrolling. The rulebook nobody finishes. Giglz kills the dead air.

Without Giglz

Ten minutes of setup. Zero minutes of fun.

Everyone's got an opinion and nobody's got a plan. The rules take longer to explain than the game lasts, half the table's back on their phones, and the night quietly fizzles before it starts.

With Giglz

Grab a phone. Everyone's howling in 90 seconds.

No setup, no accounts, no "wait, how do we play?" One phone goes around the table, someone performs, and the whole room is guessing and laughing. You're the host who finally had the good game.

One phone, passed around

Pass. Perform. Guess.

It's your turn - you're the Performer. Grab the phone, reveal your challenge, and act it out while the table loses it. No setup, no rules lecture.

1

Pass the phone

The phone is the whole deck. It tells you who's up - they grab it, and only that Performer sees what's coming next.

2

Perform the secret

Each turn lands on a number 1-6 - your challenge. Only you see the card; explain it, mime it, read the initials. Rows 1-5 are timed 60s; 6 is a Dare.

3

Guess to win

The table shouts answers. The first correct guess wins the card - tap who got it (mis-tap? there's an undo). Then pass the phone on.

Six challenges, one card

It's not just charades

Every turn is a different way to make a fool of yourself. Six challenge types, baked into all 100 cards.

1

Words

Explain the word without saying it - no parts, rhymes, or spelling.

e.g. land “Manifesting” without ever saying it.

2

Cliché

Describe a place by its clichés - food, landmarks, traditions. Never name it.

e.g. “Baguettes, berets, a big iron tower…”

3

Associations

Give three quick clues. No essays.

e.g. “Lather… opera… a bar of…”

4

Gestures

Pure charades. Act it out - no talking, no sounds.

e.g. mime “Chemist” and pray.

5

Persona

Read a famous person's initials aloud - the table guesses who.

e.g. “A.E.” → Albert Einstein.

6

Dare

Do what the card says. The group decides if it counts. Untimed.

e.g. “Non-dominant hand for the rest of the game.”

Play it your way

Two ways to win. Your call.

Pick your mode at setup, then tweak the rules to fit your crowd.

Free-for-all

Everyone for themselves. The first player to shout the right answer keeps the card. Fast, cutthroat, and very loud.

Team Play

Split into 2 to 10 teams. Only your own team can guess your performance to keep the card. Turns rotate team to team - great for bigger groups and pure trash talk.

Time Pressure60s on the five guess rows - Dare stays untimed.
Single-Task ModeLock it down - play one challenge type all game.
First to 10Or set your own target - or just play the whole deck.
The juice

Good questions

Before you ask

?Do we all need the app?
Nope - just one phone. Giglz is pass-and-play: the phone is the deck and the card all in one. Your friends don't install anything, don't make accounts, don't do a thing but guess and laugh.
?Is it really free?
Free to try - you get 15 cards, both modes, and all six challenge types, with no ads and no account. Love it? Unlock all 100 cards for €4.99 - one-time, yours forever, no subscription, no packs to chase. That's the whole game.
?Do I need Wi-Fi or an account?
Neither. Giglz plays fully offline on one phone - no sign-up, no internet, no data. Hand it around the table and go.
?How many people can play?
3 to 20 players, all in the same room. Friends, couples, families, coworkers, the whole study group - bring your people.
?Is it kid-friendly?
The full 100-card game is rated 13+ - fine for teens and family game nights. There are no separate adult packs and no extra purchases beyond the one-time €4.99 unlock.
?Isn't this just Charades?
Not even close. Each turn picks one of six different challenge types - explaining, clichés, associations, miming, initials, and dares - so every single turn is a different game. Charades is just one of the six.
?When does it launch?
Soon - and we're not faking a countdown. Join early access and you'll be first in line the day it drops, with the free demo ready out of the gate.
